Welcome to Name Tapes Ltd.
We are a Yorkshire (UK) based business which started with a tiny idea in 2004 to design and print name tapes. From that tiny idea the business has now grown into something that we are really very proud of.
We have backgrounds in textile engineering, computer technology, printing and quality control and bring these skills together to turn your ideas into beautiful labels. The materials and methods we use have been developed and thoroughly tested by us over the past 20 years.
We make labels to the highest quality using digital print methods. This allows a very quick turnaround and minimal waste. The majority of our inks and label materials are currently sourced in the UK and it is our aim to continue this.
After rigorous testing and labelling everything, and using every small child within sight, we have developed a range of products that we are very confident in and hope you will love as much as we do.
Our products are are regularly tested at home using domestic appliances to make sure that our experience matches yours.
The inks we use have been laboratory tested for toxicity to make sure they are safe for your little ones, so no need to worry if they decide to do their own consumer testing.

What we offer
Our product range includes sew in labels and iron on labels for clothing and stick on waterproof labels for shoes, lunch boxes and other equipment. Please see our products page for a full description of the label products that we offer.
All of our labels are custom printed so whatever your need we will try to cater for it. If you want to use your own logo, we’ll do our best to make it work for you. Send us an email with all the details to info@name-tapes.com.
The majority of our customers are parents looking for children’s name labels for school or nursery. We also cater for those with elderly relatives who may be entering care homes. At this difficult time it’s not necessarily something that comes immediately to mind but is often a requirement.
As with all of our customers we try to provide a prompt and efficient service so you don’t have any extra worries. Our labels have also proved popular for marking sports equipment and other expensive items.
